Powder Coat Compressor housing

is it ok to powder coat a compressor housing for its looks
or does it affect the air temp

It won't bother it at all.

It doesn't mess with anything, but I had my compressor cover powdercoated chrome and it's dull now due to the heat.

Never been a problem here, and it is very chemical resistant, too.
