Once you have been a member for 30 days, you've posted a total of 50 posts in the Newbie forum/Problem Diagnosis forum/Tech Articles section, you will be automatically moved from New Member status to Proven Member status. This is where you receive your wings. By this, we mean that you should have had enough time and participation under your belt to know the rules and you've proven yourself as a member. You'll now be able to post in all of the public forums and participate in all public areas of the site, including the Classifieds.

It's in the forum rules. And the question has been asked a million times.
