Pics as promised.... She's extremely dirty but you get the idea.
what looks to be ghosting on the tank in pic #1 is just a reflection of a talon.

Here are a couple pics of a blue paintjob I am working on. Its a 2007 Toyota color with ice pearl in the first coat of clear. I am still rubbing it out and putting it together. And a pic of the custom hid headlights.

That air brushing is sick bro, very nice, i just don't have the patients for detailed air brushing, i'll do drop shadows but thats about it. question i have though, why did you lay the flames over the sealer? or is that just a dark base your going to candy over? or maybe my eyes are playing tricks on me and thats a scuffed interclear? I'm not sure, looks hella sexy tho.... Those headlight bezels look like Dupont Nason, what are you spraying? Keep up the good work, keep posting pics.

Sorry for another post right away.... if that does happen to be Nason ya might think about trying the Dimention like from Sherwin williams, once in a while i get a customer that only needs something to look good for a couple years, Dimention has some amazing metallics that are brought out alot more than Nason. I painted a CRX 6 months ago that the customer had origionally brought me the Nason, i used it, it looked fairly good. A month later he wanted to add a spoiler so i painted that with the Dimention any i couldnt even believe the difference. Those base coats are really nice buti dont care for the S.W. clears, they spray awsome and look beter than chromaclear but the 2oz i had mixed i left in the mix room for a few weeks and it shrunk almost an inch in width. That scares me a big, thats a whole lot of shrinkage, usually theres a couple milimeters shrinkage with other clears. sorry, i tend to ramble but i think ya know where i was going with that....

Yeah its just the clear coat sanded with 1000. I don't have a problem intermixing products but I used dupont sealer, base, and clear on this project. It was a hardened base. I don't like sherwin williams/ napa clear because heavy spots or runs solvent pop too easy. Nothing worse than little white pin holes in the paint. I shot about 10 test panels for the owner before he settled on this color. He didn't like the off light red pearl hue that most blue's have. I personnaly prefer cobalt blue. This color had more heavy metallic than any of the other test panels. The clear sands and polishes well. Oh and I am not a big fan of these kind of flames because the look more like hair flowing in the wind.

What goes good with bright yellow or orange... black rims, blue rims, or gun metal rims? I have gun metal right now with a polished lip and the Ohio winter tore them up... they are my winter rims anyways but I would like to stay away from anything with a clear coat. I wanted the rim to be fully painted because if not salt and brake dust gets under the clear coat and the chrome flakes off.

I'm looking for an Orange paintjob. Anyone have photos of a candy orange or anything like that?

^^ That silver one is nice.

Other than that 95% of the cars in this thread are riced out. It's too bad.

Just because a car isn't a stock color, doesn't mean its riced out. Doing something different is called being unique.

I never said doing something different was riced.

A lime green paint job, huge spoiler, big body kit, bad graphics, and cheap rims is riced out.

At least make it clean. Anything that resembles Fast and the Furious should be blown up.

I'm sorry, but that's just my opinion. When I see one of these cars driving down the road I don't say, "Oh wow, that thing is sick!!" It's more like, "Wow, that's so bad."

When I see a clean, well done Eclipse/Talon that's when I'm impressed. Such as the silver one posted above.

LOL who is this guy. Most of the cars I have seen on this site don't have huge wings or ridicules body kits and even if they do whatever it's their money. If they want a tacky car then let them... so back to people posting cars with my orange color in mind haha.
