thanks for posting, my question now is, with my pioneer cd player i had installed yesterday, i am having problems with the trim peice that goes around the reciever to make it look more clean, is anyone else having this problem? how do i take care of this, it seams as the trim ios hitting the trim that goes around the air conditionind knobs etc, the part you initially have to take off before installing anything. thanks for the imput guys. :thumb:

Take the trim ring and use a bench sander /grinder to shape its edges until it fits perfectly with the factory ring in place.

how do i trim it? like the depth of it? its hitting the top and both sides on the air cond trim.

man I love it, I have the Clarion CD Changer hooked up to it as well. Next step is the Clarion TV Tuner. Hopefully next month I'll have that in.

h/u trim rings are upside down u shaped plastic.

what you do is try to put it on with the factory trim piece in place and note where the outer edge needs to be trimmed back to let it sink in enough to fit.
take it to the trust bench grinder (fine wheel)and grind some off, test fit so on and so on.
used to do that on a lot of the din mounts, for some reason they always had too much room around them with out the ring but the most trim rings were just a bit too deep on the outer edges. trim then about 1/8 inch and perfect. :thumb:
in your car I don't know how much, but hope you have an idea
