That, my friend, would be a very daunting task. Replicating cast parts is very difficult and requires a lot of guessing and even more time.

On that note, I do have a rough model of a 7 bolt piston, and a pretty detailed version of a 7 bolt rod/rod cap/bearings in SolidWorks I also have a 2g valve train (cams/springs/valves/rockers/lifters/cam gear somewhere on my computer that I made in ProE. I know another guy on here did a VERY nice job on the valve cover. I can't recall his user name.

I believe i have seen the valve cover youre referring to on dsmtalk. He did an excellent job.
As for the daunting task, I recently lost my job and just finished my finals so i have quite a bit of free time until i find another job. As an added bonus, my father is an engineer that has been working with CAD since the 70s. any questions or problems i have i can take to him.

I'd like to have a custom spark plug cover made that has two logos on it. Is there a vendor out there that produces spark plug covers with my selected images? I haven't been able to locate one, but thought there was someone out there doing these a few months/years ago.

I'd rather have something a bit more factory appearing or non-clear. I've seen work like his posted around and while good, didn't think that was the route I was looking to take.

I do have a guy who can make my cover, but I'm interested if there is someone who engraves.

Jm fabrications custom engraved one for me several years ago. I just paid them an extra fee to take my image and write a file to the cnc machine. I would contact jim and ask him if it's something he will still do.

You could also take the spark plug cover to a trophy shop and have them do it. My father in law had some done on his Mustang like that and for 2 covers, he paid like 25 bucks. It's worth a shot.

Cnc cut

So I'm looking to buy another spark plug cover and was trying to see what all out's there. I used to have one on my talon I really liked but I dont think it would go with my new theme very well.

Bought a blank cover (28 bucks on ebay) and sprayed with red VHT manifold paint. I let it dry for a couple days then attached my sticker of choice. Painted over with black then carefully, while the paint was still wet, removed the sticker.

It’s in rough shape and I didn’t feel like doing extra work to smooth it so the paint is rough. But eh. I like it. Better than nothing!

How did you guys get these colorful engine covers? Or did yall paint them yourselves, I really like the display and was thinking of making mine like this, but Idk if you guys get custom covers, or repaint the original one.

I don't usually run a sparkplug cover but the valve covers are Powder Coated for me by a friend. I buy him powder and he does my stuff for free and keeps the powder for other projects. I even have a Chrome Powder Coated valve cover. The sparkplug covers are easy for a CNC machine to cut out, so you would need to find a company/person that can do small projects like those or other members here on the forum.
