General possibly switching to EMS Series 2 - questions

I'm thinking about jumping to an AEM EMSv2 and have read everything I can find about it.

I still have a couple questions I can't seem to find answers for:

1. VSS - I lost one block due to the 1g speed sensor bouncing and inadvertently switching on my nitrous kit, Is there an alternate VSS I can use? The Brantz BR3 unit for import gearboxes seems like a good choice, but I'd like confirmation it works before I order one from the UK
   
2. I can't find any reference on how to wire and configure the DSM automatic transmission for EMS control - has anyone got a link for a how-to?

Sorry I can't definitively answer either of your questions, however I've been running the v2 EMS for the last couple years and have found it fairly lacking compared to other comparably priced units. Map resolution is low (21x18 off the top of my head) compared to the 32x32 which seems to be the standard (Haltech, AEM Infinity) etc.

In terms of the VSS, I'm fairly certain that you can configure the v2 EMS for whatever speed sensor you are using, however I'd suggest posting this over on the AEM Electronics forums for a better answer. Same with the auto trans. It isn't officially supported however the configuration pages are there. Beau at AEM has a DSM (running an AEM Infinity) so he may be able to shed more light on that.
