To start, my talon has had some odd idle issues, and was stalling quite often. i noticed i had a few collapsed vaccum lines, so i replaced these, and the car seemed to idle fine and didnt randomly stall on me anymore. However, I noticed that there was some oil on the T for my boost controller (from intake mani to bov). This leads me to beleive that there is oil leaking into my intake manifold, however i have not noticed any smoke as if i would be burning oil *neither have any friends driving behind me*. I havent had time to check my lower intercooler pipes for large amounts of oil in them, however i think i may have bad turbo seals. Would oil in my intake manifold be caused by bad seals? If not, what else could e causing this?.

Thanks.

BTW, still on stock T-25, with only bolton mods and profec B-II ebc.

You're going to have to check your LICP for oil in order to tell if your seals are bad. Oil on the T of your boost controller could be from your intake pipe depending on how your PCV is routed. Check the LICP and let us know what you find.

I have my intake pipe capped off and my pcv is just venting. (i have a hose pinting down under the engine) I'll check the pipes when the engine cools off.

Edit: I just checked the intercooler pipes down by the intercooler, and it was pretty dry. I guess its just left over oil from when the pcv was plugged into the intake pipe and i was being a lil paranoid.

whoa... everybody hold on a second. first thing first. is the car using a large amount of oil? do you have to add a quart every 200, 500, or 1000 miles? if not, then check it periodically and don't worry about it.

our cars are getting old. a leak could come from the valve stem seals, turbo, main seals, you name it. your car is going to use a little bit, even with a brand new turbo. with my fairly new 16g, my car needs about a 1/2 quart after 1500 miles.

I had the seals go on my t25 and it is VERY NOTICEABLE. people behind you will be able to smell the oil, especially if its coming out of the turbine side. when it got replaced, it was using about a quart every 2-300 miles.

as for the oil you're seeing, I also get a bit of that. its my belief that it is very difficult to perfectly seal a compressor wheel that's spinning upward of 100K RPMs. A little bit of oil is going to get out and be admitted into the airstream. that's why periodic cleaning of the intercooler in highly recommended.

No, it doesnt eat much oil at all, not much more than it did 2 years ago. Nobody behind me has reported smelling burning oil or seeing blueish clouds. I'l have someone smell for it next time im infront of someone i know.

It was probably a bit of paranoia/ me wanting to justify a new turbo. i'm going to keep a lose eye on it.
