Possible to Use Evo VIII Turbo Setup?

quick question guys
would a whole turbo set up from an evo 8 fit on my RS non-turbo engine?
and if it does how much would i be able to boost with out blowin my engine?

You can use some things like the turbo, oil lines and return lines and such. But you woun't be able to use the exhaust manifold or anything like that. If your engine is healthy I woulnd't suggest pushing it past 8 psi.

Yes. You could probably use everything else besides the exhaust manifold that bolts up to the head and the turbo. You have the 420a, but the Evo 8 has a newer 4g63. I'm not sure what the Evo 8's run but you'll need to buy the manifold for a 420a that bolts up to the Evo 8 turbo. I've heard they're pretty much 16g's. As for boost level nothing over 8-10 psi due to weak internals that will probably blow up due to long time use and stress of the turbo. Then rebuild!

Can also buy an adapter for the manifold to go from a t3 flange to a mitsu flange. Those are a little cheaper if you go with a cast manifold. Just a thought.

Could you use just the turbo? Probably. Could you use the whole turbo setup? Probably not.

The Evo's fuel management system (its ECU) cannot be swapped easily. The same goes for most of the IC and exhaust piping and the exhaust manifold. All that's left that you can use is the turbo, perhaps the BOV, the intercooler and maybe a few miscellaneous pieces of hardware.

Both the evo 8 4g63 and the 420a look similar, his set up looks like a bolt-on set for my car... so i get confused sometimes... and I forgot to mention... his evo doesn't have a stock exhaust manifold... he has a tubular manifold... I'm guessin since the stock one won't fit... the tubular won't either?

Another question... besides getting a turbo kit, what else should I do?...
