Hey guys, need a little of your input. My short term goals for the car (before Spring) is to reach 350whp and be in the low 13s, high 12s with slicks. Here's my setup.

Bullseye TO4B V-Trim Turbo
Injen Intake
RRE UICP / LICP and TB ELBOW
JohnnyR Frontmount Intercooler
Greddy Type S BOV
Turbonetics MBC
PTE 680cc injectors
Walbro 190 fuelpump
RRE 3" downpipe
NS O2 dump
Apexi N1 3" catback
Apexi S-AFC2

You could do all low 13's high 12's on a 16g, 550cc injectors, hard ic piping, intake, SAFC2, 190lph pump and a datalogger as long as you take it to a shop that is very familiar with an SAFC2 they can tune it so you can run high 12's no problem. Won't make 350hp but it will get you into the 12's. Won't need slicks either.

might as well just get dsmlink instead. it makes tuning a breeze.

For what he is aiming for it isn't needed. An AFC will get him a very reliable tune.

I'm not talking about my 16g. I'm selling it. I am putting a Bullseye TO4B V-Trim in this week.

Long term goals are 400+ whp and 12s on street tires. I'll be ditching the SAFC2 when that time comes and will use DSMLink. So please, don't say I need DSMLink.

Yeah I think you are going to run into massive traction issues eventually when you add power like that. You are going to end up (a) really having to learn how to launch that car, especially with slicks, and (b) break alot of axles. But good luck bud.

Axle breaking won't be a problem, diff explosions with the stock open diff is a deffinate reality, and you don't need to think he will have traction issues he WILL have traction issues, I have the same issues and I use slicks at the track.

400+whp and 12 second timeslips in a fwd 2g? good luck buddy trust me you'll need it.

Zach sure has taken the long walk down this road. :p How long ago was that timeslip zach? Almost 116mph traps with a 1.8 60ft? You should be knocking on that 11sec door soon.

Trapspeed. Your setup is looking decent soo far. Running the 680s with just the SAFC might result in less than desireable timing. I would definitley consider DSM-Link down the road. With some traction and driving (easier said than done) you should be able to reach your goal.

Ha no joke, that timeslip was from last nov. Last track day of the year and I just had to go. With the new setup(if my AEM EMS doesn't keep crashing:cry: ) I should be in the 11 sec range, I hope.

Just like Eric said running large injectors with an safc will net you large timming advances since the ecu thinks its seeing small amounts of airflow so you won't be able to run as mush boost. You can still have a very capable car with an afc just make sure to take your time tunning and do it slowly in small incraments.

Diff explosions are true. I never had that happen to me with my FWD, however excessive wheelhop did cause lots of axle failure.

Yeah Ive read some bad things about AEM crashing issues on NABR. Lets hope you can get some good runs this year.

Replace drivetrain parts as you break them. You will break them.

If anyone had any opinions pertaining to the reason I made this thread that'd be awesome.
