how can I tell if my wheel bearing is bad?.. I have this really bad, loud noise coming from the back of my car when I’m driving. It starts as soon as I start driving and ends when I come to a stop don’t matter how fast I’m going. Almost sounds like a scraping I guess I can call it clunking noise. Steering wheel has very minimal shake. It’s so loud though I have my stereo at 38 and the noise still almost drowns out the music. Sounds like I can hear the tires spinning on the road pretty much I don’t really know how else to describe it LOL. Any help or input of what to look for would be nice.

Hello,

This link shows a general idea for how to check them.

Yup just from the sound it’s a the wheel bearing LOL I’ll jack it up and do the shake test but I’m 100% positive it’s the wheel bearing now. Thank you for that video!

to check or wheel bearing jack up the corner and grab the tire at 12 and 6 o'clock if u can move it it is most likly a bad wheel bearing BUT could be other suspension parts(but if u have a noise most likely a wheel bearing)

dang others beat me to it LOL

Pretty positive it’s the wheel bearing after watching that video LOL. I’m getting new coil over in a couple weeks too for it as well too but I’ll check out all the parts of course once everything is apart I’ll probably park her for now if the wheel wobbles on the check. And just do everything all at once while I’m there
