Alright, I'm getting upset with this thing's electrical system. I just got the engine rebuilt, after a series of problems (air in the clutch line, blowing the soft pipe off the intake manifold) the car wouldn't start. There was a buzzing noise coming out of the fuse panel under the hood, which was the headlight and taillight relays. After jiggling the fuse pannel for awhile, the ignition would turn on the radio and fan when I turned the switch to "on". The dash lights for check engine, oil pressure, and temp came on very dimly, and if I jiggled the key, it would start occasionally, but would die when I turned the headlights on (after replacing the relays, and they stopped buzzing). After awhile of swearing and fiddling with connections, It started and stayed on, even after turning on the lights. I restarted it 3 times after that without problems that night, and parked it. This morning, my dad went to drive it, and he moved it 300 feet up the driveway and it died and wouldn't restart. Now, I'm back to where I started, but jiggling the key won't work anymore. Im starting to think that the ignition switch is the problem, but I'm wondering if anybody has any suggestions on what to test.

alright, i noticed that when i put my foot on the brake pedal while the ignition is in the "on" position, everything that is on that circuit turns off. i disconnected the connector to the brake light switch, and the same thing happens. I also had no brake lights before i disconnected the switch. when i just turn the key over to "accessory" nothing happens, but when i jiggle it once the radio comes on. could this be a wiring problem?

Im no expert but im having major electrical problems as well and have learned a little bit about the wiring.

Take off lower part of dash and the side panel next to your right leg when in drivers side.

-Brake pedall:
find out why this is happening. Look under and see if the pedal is moving any wires.

Have you done any recent additions that required you to wire something in? Start there
