ok, well i just picked up a ported 7cm housing. the diameter of the opening that oes to the manifold is 63.5mm and the oem 7cm gasket is only 60mm ( from my understanding). i really do not want to use the ss gaskets because i have been hearing some horror neagtive feed back on them( deformation, blowing out etc) what should i do? is there another gasket out there that is slightly larger than 63.5mm and is double layered like the oem piece? thanks fro the input.

i just mesuared the the sealing ring of my oem gasket on my 6cm housing and it is ~ 1/8"= 3.3mm, is the ring not supposed to be in contact between the turbine hosuing and the manifold? because it seems that the ring is excatly the diffrens between the ID of a oem 7cm gasket(60mm) and the turbine housing that i have(63.5mm).. can someone verify this?

A metal gasket won't blow out on you and put some copper spray on it as well. The "ring" in question is just for alignment. You'll be fine running your manifold and turbo together.
