ok so my car has a evoIII mani and 16g. I measured them and they were both 6cm. What is the deal with 6cm and 7cm do some come with 6 or 7 just at ramdom or what? the gasket is in bad shape and i am getting a new one. I was going to port the seperator in the mani and not take to much off just sharpin it up and smooth it out. should i just go all out and buy a 7cm gasket and port the turbo and manifold to match?

6cm and 7cm doesn't refer to the size of the inlet. If you have a 16g and a Evo3 manifold you'll want the 7cm gasket.

Don't leave us in suspense... please clarify

Yeah! I remember reading the description before, but I don't remember what I read:p I looked around a bit but didn't find it.

And I'd do some research before grinding away the flapper in the ex. manifold. I've seen differing opinions on this, but I believe that it should be left intact to separate the 1+4 cylinder flows from 2+3. It kinda sounded like you were gonna leave it intact, but in case you weren't, that's an FYI.

Happy porting!

so i will get the 7cm gasket. all i was going to do was make the flapper very smooth and sharp. so is the evo III a 7cm housing?
Can i get the 7cm gasket at the dealer i am about to go to get a bolt i snaped?

ExtremePsi has stainless steel 7cm gaskets for $12. They are a lot more durable than the OEM gaskets. This is what I use on my car and it has never failed me, I've resued it a bunch of times.

If you don't have the factory turbo bolts and cone washers, then the bolts will backout and cause a leak at the turbo to manifold connection. Mske sure you use the factory parts.
