go ahead and run the 7cm gasket. i ran one on my car with a unported manifold and 14b and it didn't leak.

First of all sorry about this noob question. I just got a new exhaust manifold replacing the oem manifold and the opening from the manifold to the turbo is a 6cm. i got a new ss 7cm gasket for it. I was wondering if i would notice anything by using the larger gasket. is there any problems with that? if so, what? thanks for any help.

If anything you would experience leaks, as the new gasket is a tad larger than the OEM one. Is the new gasket the same thickness as the origional one?

right now i have an oem gasket. i planned on using the new 1/8" thick stainless steel one i just got from victory performance. would it make a difference?

Im guessing you have the stock T25 or a 14B since it doesnt say any turbo in your profile. Not sure what problems that you would experience, but it to port out your turbine housing the 7cm^2 gasket will fit nicely.
EDIT*** Ahhhh^^^ beat me to it hahaha.

I want to get my car up and running asap. I just want to know if i do this, what the problems could be if any?

Well the weekend is coming up, just take tomorrow morning and port it ut, and then you wouldnt have to worry about any problems, and your turbo will flow better with the port work done.

ok, i tried to keep out the fact that the header is a pacesetter, i know, i know, i should have done the reasearch before buying it so try to keep the flaming at a minimum. But it doesnt look like the manifold will stand up to alot of porting. any suggestions?

Don't try to port a tubular manifold. Also, I would recommend you get a bar/plate/bracket type welded to each side of the flange, From the one flange to the other. My buddy did this and had NO problems. I didn't, And cracked two brand new manifold a year ago. As for the gasket, As long as there are no gaps that it can actually leak, You will not have a problem as for it actually be leaking into the atmosphere.

i already had the welds on each of the runners that connect to the flange reinforced. would that be enough? or should there be more beefing up?

That should be good for the maniflod to keep it from cracking, but I wasnt talking about porting the exhaust manifold, I was talking about the turbine housing. Port it to 7cm^2 so that the gasket fits perfectly.
EDIT***Oh yeah Im getting a UPC tubular for my Talon and its a DD, but Im reenforcing it with bracket a having it welded to each flange then having it ceramic coated and that should prevent it from cracking...hopefully.

To clear any confusion....its a solid 1/8" thick stainless steel gasket. I was thinking that it would act more as a spacer than as a gasket. It just doesnt make sense to me..... anybody have any input on this?
