Ported housing for external WG?

I got a Precision Turbo w/ internal wg and i want to mount a Tial external wg on the O2 Housing, i know that i need to remove the flapper... but searching further into this i found many threads, like this two.....

So what to do? Right now i just converted the housing from undivded to divided.

To run an external wastegate off of the O2 housing, you need that divider in place.

Actually he will need the flapper welded shut if he plans on running the wastegate off the manifold.

But if you plan on running it off the o2 housing like Paul said you will need the divided turbine housing, with the flapper door removed.

Ok i got a little piece (like the red stripe on the pic) welded, after the flapper is removed, do i need to port the surroundings of the valve hole? Or just with the removal of the flapper is enough?

Neatly widen that hole out as much as you safely can, and then port the passage inside of the volute so that there is a nice, unrestricted path to the wastegate hole. Then, you're all set.
