Ok so I have a 98 gs Eclipse with the 420a and it is fully built. Forged, ARP studs, cometic head gasket, bored out, 1mm oversized valves, ported obx intake mani, 60MM throttle body. It has a T-3 Turbo with a 50 trim exhaust wheel and 60 intake.
So to the issue: I only have a 7 psi spring in my wastegate and want to push 7 on the stock injectors as many claim to have done with no problems. Only My wideband gauge is saying that under boost I am at 14.1!!! This is with an adjustable fpr and a vortech 12:1. I have no boost leeks. The timing is perfect. Does this sound like maybe the port work and all the extra airflow mods have maxed out what the stock 190cc's can handle?? I'm reading up that the stock ECU can handle up to 310cc injectors as long as you have a way to adjust idle fuel pressure. If this is the case then I can simply buy a set of accell 310cc's for $170 and plug and play right? Then I should be more than safe to push the 7 pounds boost and get the a/f ratio into the 11.5 range hopefully. Any input is greatly appreciated! Maybe I have faulty stock injectors? Anyone know what the Ohms should be on those? AAAHHHH!
