port/polished head

I sold him that head for my friend who is in the Marines, and is heading to Iraq. He just wanted to get rid of some of his stuff before he left. It was done by some shop in Texas. The valve seats were done 1mm oversize and I did have it checked out before I sold the head to the kid who posted the ad. Other than that the intake ports were ported, and the exhaust ports were done a little and polished up, also had bronze valve guides installed.

Will you need 1mm oversized intake and exhaust valves? When you get the valves and assemble the head pour some water in the intake and exhaust port. Then check for leaks around the valves. Do you have any plans for the head or just mostly stock stuff? Head looks really good.:rocks: I'm jealous.

Yes he will need 1mm oversized valves, as the seats were done 1mm over... I've already verified this at a local machine shop.

I was just wandering if he had both intake and exhaust milled 1 over. I bet that thing flows great anyway.
interex- who ever you sold it for is probably going to has a great car when he gets back. I mean if he had a head this nice before he left and I always came back from deployments with extra to spend.
phaseoneracing-How much do you plan to spend in parts for this head?
