port/polished head

so just bought a port/polished head. don't know much about this stuff..was told all i will need is 1mm oversized valves and i can use the rest of my old stuff. any other advice you guys can give me will be great..thanks.

Just curious do you know who did the porting? Also, I am guessing you bought it used since it needs valves. If so was it checked out by a machine shop for flatness and cracks.

any pictures? Was it flow benched? 1g or 2g head?

did they touch the ports. thats a good job on the bowl.

I sold him that head for my friend who is in the Marines, and is heading to Iraq. He just wanted to get rid of some of his stuff before he left. It was done by some shop in Texas. The valve seats were done 1mm oversize and I did have it checked out before I sold the head to the kid who posted the ad. Other than that the intake ports were ported, and the exhaust ports were done a little and polished up, also had bronze valve guides installed.

the head definitely looks great. and thanks to interex for the good deal. i wasnt gonna get too into it but now i might just build it over winter and then drop it in. just wondering what i should upgrade on it.

Yes he will need 1mm oversized valves, as the seats were done 1mm over... I've already verified this at a local machine shop.

I was just wandering if he had both intake and exhaust milled 1 over. I bet that thing flows great anyway.
interex- who ever you sold it for is probably going to has a great car when he gets back. I mean if he had a head this nice before he left and I always came back from deployments with extra to spend.
phaseoneracing-How much do you plan to spend in parts for this head?
