So sometimes when im driving and i change gears or i step of the gas i hear a like a pop coming from my exhaust ...(hks hi power 3 inch) ... Anyone know why??

Running rich?

Sounds like it happens on decell, could be hot unburt gas lighting off when it meets cooler air at the tip of the exhaust

Yea i dont think its only on high rev shifts .almost its like after 2000 rpm shifts..

It sounds like it could be backfire. It also sounds like a symptom of the 3" exhaust and straight thru muffler. I had to put a resonator on my car cause I couldn't stand the popping on decel and the ricerish sounds it made. Only did it on my DSM with full 3" exhaust and no cat.

Damn, I was hoping you would say high rev shifts so a wiseman would chime in with an answer! Mine does that only going from 1st to 2nd at real high rev & fast shift. At night my GF says you can see a very colorful 3ft flame shoot out the rear! OMG I'm gonna get a ticket for that ricer crap ROFL

Wow i mean listening to it sound pretty sick! Eventhough it wasnt what i was going for but as i drive down the streets people say it sounds crazy! ... I would love to see some flames coming out of my exhaust...

Damn, i have a 3" no cat but i do have a resonator and ive never had that happen. Happens on my 09 zx10r with the short aftermarket exhaust on decel though. I like it LOL

As long as you're running the BOV in recirulation, I can only think of running rich. Everything is up to date on your profile?

This. Either your BOV isn't recirculated or your running very rich.

^thats a cool idea, how exactly would you do that though since I havent heard of it?

Idle the engine, and hold a lighter or match up to all the joints. If the flame appears to suck into the weld or blow away from it, you just found a leak.

Another one I like is to just hold a rag tightly against the tailpipe. If it leaks, you'll hear hissing from the leaks.
