My cousin and uncle had a junker awd dsm. So they pulled the rear suspension and rear end before they got rid of it. My question is, I wanna pull all the bushings and replace them with poly's, and then do the front eventully, but, is there more drivetrain shock since the new bushings won't give and absorb like the oem's?

This reply is by no means any more than an opinion, so if someone else can confirm or disprove this, feel free to, but the way I see it, poly bushing with less "play" and movement in the rear-end/rear suspension would most likely be better for your car than your worn out stock bushings. If you think about it, the drivetrain is meant to work in a very specific fashion, and having components bend and move would most likely cause more problems than stiffer bushings that cause less un-wanted travel of these parts. Of course, your ride will also be stiffer feeling. I'm currently in the process of replacing every bushing possible with their poly alternatives on my 1G Talon and have ridden in cars with poly bushings before. I can't see them hurting the drivetrain.

Actually, some bushings are designed to bend to lateral and/or front loads, making toe changes in certain situations. Dont know how much it's worth keeping though.
