alright messed with abunch of little stuff and fixed a little bit. When i rev it now, its still hesistates untill 2k then revs up fine, then coming back down it stops at 4k for a second then goes all the way down. the idle is still horrible, sounds like a stock harley, and it dies out. shakes the car like crazy, funny thing is, is that when you switch the wires on the coil, it runs the same like from 4-1 to 1-4 etc.. also pulled the plugs and they are black, but why would it be running rich, i didn't switch the injectors, but thy look the same

alright the bov was sticking open, and thats the reason for the 4k hold/hesitation. i still have the idle/below 2k problem, like i said it sounds like its missing, changed plugs, wires, stil nothing. then a code came up, so i tried turning the key trick to pull the code and it won't flash. I hate this car ha, someone please throw outsome ideas please

ok hooked up my boost gauge outta my teg and found that its only pullin like 10 at idle, so there is a leak somewhere in the intake manifold. Any way to test where its at without taking it off?

I was wondering what can a JDM Cyclone Intake could do for my 99 GS-T? Such as Hp gains, as well for boost & torque.

From what I have read on this site, and others, the Cyclone intake isn't worth the money. Gains are minimal.

Wondering why people just dive on in the pool, without searching for snags and rocks and sharks and pissy moderators who'll snap your more inane threads shut faster than a Cyclone intake butterfly.

Awesome thread this is exaclty what I needed as I am 6 bolt swapping soon and I have the the cyclone intake on my JDM motor.

Since you guys have the JDM stuff good to do anyone got any info on the AC hitting the cyclone intake?

i just like to add that i am a cashier at home depot. and i buy performance parts there. but i dont see many others like us that shop for their car there :(

Is the fuel purge solenoid the same as the egr solenoid? If not then what is the oem part number for the fuel purge?

My T25 wastegate actuator came in today so I might have some pictures for you guys this weekend..

Please post pics of the T25 setup!!!

Also, the Hobbs Pressue Switch mentioned earlier from Napa used to be part number 701-1575, but it isn't on their website so you may want to call to see if they have it. They have been able to order one for me in the past.

what is the difference between the cyclone and the regular 4g63t :dsm:
The intake manifold is the only difference. The jdm motor has a cyclone intake manifold that has dual runners. There are running debates if the cyclone intake manifold is better/worse then the normal one. Some say it has better low end, but is crap on top end. I have a jdm motor in my car just because I toasted my other motor. And after seeing mine I've heard kids say "Oh man I need to get a cyclone motor!" I tell them if they don't have a blown motor there is no reason to because they are the exact same thing except for the intake manifold.

Yes, the dual runner cyclone intake manifold works like the VICS on the NA 3S or Toyota's TVIS creating a longer intake path for low rpms and switching to a shorter part above 3 grand or so. This style of intake was to improve the low and mid-range engine performance.

You need a controller to make use of it.

i'm running the cyclone manifold and you can feel it on the low end and i don't feel a differnece on top end... if your planning on running high boost it will break... plus the manifolds walsls are really thin and cracks
