I bought a transmission out of a 96 gs-t to go into my 1997 gs-t but the splines are completely different on the halfshafts. Can anybody tell me why? Can i just swap the ends off a different halfshaft to make it work? thanks, please share youre knowledge.

As long as you have a manual transmission out of a 95-99 GST going into a manual transmission GST from 95-99 there shouldnt be a problem. 95-99 all use the same axles.
