Hi im to the point where i want a 3in turbo back setup. Im havin a friend of mine who owns a shop do it and im wanderin what all i need. I know i need a downpipe and i found an apexi d/p. so im gonn get that one i guess. that leaves a test pipe and a muffler i guess unless theres more. i have the testpipe covered so im down to the muffler. I want a deep tone but i also want it somewhat loud. No fartcans. I had a APC and it was ok for a while but i want some opinions on a deep/loud muffler. Anybody ever tried flowmaster? How loud are the magnaflows and the thermal r&ds. anybody heard the aeroturbines yet? i found a suv/truck aeroturbine 3 in 3 out so i figured that might be ok. let me know what ya'll think.

dont go with apexi downpipe....look on ebay for a megan racing 3-inch downpipe. You wont even need to get a testpipe. Then after that, you can either get a megan racing cat-back or go with pretty much any other cat-back. I personally went with an Apexi Dunk which is no rare now-adays, its been discontinued for a while. I would suggest a World Sport 2 or WS2 as it will be quieter but give a deep sound.

PS never go with apc for any product again...

depending on the dp you get, the cat may or may not be eliminated. if the dp DOES eliminate the cat, all you need after that is a cat-back. apexi n-1 sounds fantastic, but it's pretty pricey... amen to the APC comment... never trust them again. ever.

i have the Greddy PE with a 3inch all the way through and that will give you the sound your looking for but its kinda beefy you can check it out on my profile

Go with Magnaflow. People are always debating on whether Flowmasters work well with our turboed DSMs..I'd just go with Magnaflow so you're sure. You won't be disappointed.

Unless i'm mistaken, the Apexi downpipe is a cat eliminator. It bolts directly from turbo to catback, so no test pipe is necessary. I would also recommend the Apexi N1 catback. I have that myself and it sounds nice and deep rumble. It's semi-loud without a cat, but not so loud that it's annoying.

Sorry, i didnt make myself clear. LOL. but hes makin a 3 in custom exhaust for me. he mandrel bending the pipe and everything so im just looking for a muffler i guess. So should i go woth the apex down pipe? and im really leaning towards and aero turbine muffler. the one i found is a 3030 truck/suv muffler. 3in in and 3in out so it'll match up and im guessing it'll give me a deep sound. i listened to some clips on the site and i fell in love with the c5 corvette clip. LOL. but i doubt mine is gonna sound like a c5 vette.

Thermal 3' exhaust. Nice, deep tone and it sound good when you stomp on it! A little more expensive but I think it is worth it! No rice sound!
