I sold my 95 GST this past summer and really regret it. So i now have 5K for another DSM. In my area i found 1 91 Galant VR4 bone stock with all maint done with 148K on it. Also found a 98 Talon Tsi AWD 5 spd also bone stock with most maint items completed, this one has 150K on it. Now thats my tough choice to make because, for one there both AWD which is what i want this time around. They are both stock. Both have had timing belt replaced along with rest of main maint. items. Both have simular milage. I personally like the look of the 2Gb talons alot. The VR4 is almost 15 years old now whereas the talon is 7 going on 8 which just seems like it would be a safer bet. There both 75 miles away from my home. I do have a 1 1/2 year old daughter that i need to take around but she loved the Eclipse and the talon is the same size so theres not a big fitment problem there. I know one is a 6 bolt and one is a 7 but i could really care less sense if the 7 bolt was gonna walk i think it would have already. I DO plan to mod either one to its full extent as i did with my GST stuff like 50 trim, 660's, fmic, harpipes, 3" turboback ect i think everyone knows the drill. Its just a matter of having i guess style doing it or being a 14 year old sleeper. I just need some help on which to get sense im in a deadlock. Im leaning twords the Talon but the more i think about it a GVR4 is really a nice car to have being 4 doors, 4G63, sleeper effect ect . Also the Galant is selling for $4600 firm and the Talon for $5000 OBO. Any feedback would be great

imo...I'd definitely go w/the galant. AWD, AWS, 6 bolt, 4 doors=super sleeper. I love sleepers and this is right there at the top of the list. But if you want easily accessible parts and want the 'cool' look, obviously go with the Talon. my $.02

I think the VR4 is a better buy. They are rare, no one knows what you got, it has 4 doors, it has a 6 bolt, and it has almost as much potential as the Talon. If I new now what I know then, I would have found a VR4. Really either one is good though.

Vr4 I have never owned one but i would really like to get one.. a 2nd gen is nice car.. but i would rather have a vr4

I love the galant sleeper look; however the 98's are sooooooo sexy. With them being priced close to the same as each other and the 98 being newer i would go with the 98. If you want the a grocery getter that blows doors off of v8's go with the galant. Good luck with the decision, just remember after maintenance rock out dsm style baby and mod it up! :rocks:

Both bottem ends can handle a 50 trim... This is a tough choice... Sleeper makes me laugh. I like the looks of the guys i roll up on and spank because of my eagle talon DL rear clip. But the 2gb come on. Beautiful!
Do you want anything else like semi-practicality? 4 doors would have gotten my vote because i have two kids. Galant VR4s are like "bare bones" EVOs to me for the price and the price of mods you'll have a car that can kill an evo and still have $15000+ free on your credit and 4 doors.

Get both!

In my area, that Galant is only worth a tad over $2000 and the Talon is worth about $4600. The Talon is newer and both are stock. I would offer the person selling the Talon $4500 and see if they bite. If so, I would definitely go with that. Even at $5000 I would go with that over the Galant...

Good luck shopping, let us know what you end up with.

well i actually went with the 92 talon i have now and modding it up so thanks guys and i had my choice made for me WTF long story though...
