Please help me identify this wire

I have this wire in my engine bay that is not connected to anything. It is on a 1990 Eclipse fwd turbo. The wire is directly underneath the master cylinder reservoir. It is the left wire in the picture. I am currently trying to figure out why my tach doesn't work.

sorry for the bad picture. By the way that was not my first post. Anyways, I attached tewo more pics (it's the best i got for tonight). They are the same pic as one another but has the wire highlighted. It is maybe a 20 gauge wire next to maybe a 0.5 hose. Both are coming out of the firewall.
