Hello, I currently have an issue with my seat brackets. Right now my current seat up is NRG bucket seats with planted seat brackets. my problem is that it is too high for my liking and pretty uncomfortable. I am 6 feet tall and my knees are hitting the knee bolster. I have been looking at brackets off ebay, but i’m not sure if they are better or worse than the ones i have now, does anyone have recommendations, that are fairly cheap as well. I looked at the corbeau seats but they are pretty pricey. Any info is helpful, thank you :)

You aren’t going to like my answer but the best solution for a buy it pre-made bracket is to get the bride brackets from Japan. I know this because I have them, with sliders, and evo 8 seats in my 2g and I fit. I am 6’4”. It took like 6 months for them to arrive and then I had to drill to work with the recaro’s.

6 months is crazy LOL, how much were they?

Bride m069ro

$300? Feels like that was for a set when I bought them.
dang, that’s a little pricey for me. what website did you buy them off from if you don’t mind me asking. also if you have anything recommendations that could be cheaper?

Corbeau brackets sit pretty low.

They are $140 and come with sliders. The "stock" configuration of the sliders won't work on the NRG seat and brackets, but it can be modified to work. To be even lower you could solid mount it to the bracket when you find a good seating position/distance.

Thank you for the recommendation, these do look nice as well and much cheaper LOL. I will look more into it.

There is no way that I could use sliders with my Braum seats. Even though the Braum seats are smaller than most aftermarket seats, I had to modify the Planted brackets and hard mount them without the slider.

Honestly, I’m not sure if there would be any way to get brackets low enough. I know someone above said that they used Bride brackets, but this was low enough it almost touches the hump in the floor, and is still too high. I’m betting the Evo seat simply sits lower than an aftermarket seat. I would guess that putting my same Brain seats on would sit too high.

Check my build thread for some photos to see what modifications I had to do.

I can’t find the thread that you are on. Maybe it’s on my end but can you send me the link to it please 🙏.
Also I did try to modify my planted seat as well but, the metal was really thick, and i didn’t have anything to cut it.
I also have my seats hard mounted to the bracket as well, and it still sits really high for me.
