my situation in that i am rebuilding a motor and my stock pistons are shot. but the bore of my block is still in toleracne. should i find some more used pistons and slap them in or bore out the motor and spend the money on new pistions. What is the diffrence in size on the wrist bearings of a 8.5:1 piston and the stock 7.8:1 pistons??

As depend how much you are willing to spend? The difference of prices? And if the used pistons look good enough. Just remember to use NEW rings, break them in and use.
