I just picked up a 1993 Eagle Talon TSI AWD with 150k miles on the clock. The seller said that the engine was rebuilt and it has around 100 miles on it. BUT, the rebuild took place around 3 years ago and has been sitting ever since due to a transmission failure. Today I got a new tranny in and all the other good stuff and went to start it, nothing. I checked fuel and spark, I have both. Then I checked the compression and the test showed around 60 in the #4 and #2 cylinder. If the motor was just rebuilt then obviously the comression should be alot better than that. I was talking to a few people and they said that because it has been sitting for 3 years then the rings could be seized and the person said to spray some WD-40 into the cylinders and let it sit for a while. Would this fix my problem?
