im going to be starting my 2.3 stroker rebuild, i know ill be going to .20 over and i have to get stroker pistons for the 100mm crank just looking for opinions on what brand to use right now im thinking manley. but im just looking for others opinions.... dont know if it matters but end goal is 500awhp

Brand is personal preference, The only real thing you need to worry about is getting a piston that has the 6mm wristpin offset.

If you go wiseco get the 1400HD (k571m855). MAP sells these in their stage 2 stroker kit.

There's tons of info on this stuff on here, and 500hp is easily achievable. Personally I don't think strokers are reliable enough for most user's goals, but that is a completely different conversation.

Good luck!

Ross, CP, Wiseco 1400HD, and Manley all work in this circumstance. I prefer a shorter skirt, and I prefer to have at least the skirts coated. With your power goals, the off-the-shelf piston wrist pins will work fine. If you had much higher goals, then I would go for better rod bolts and a stronger wrist pin. The off-the-shelf piston rings will also work fine; I have used Total Seal with my CP's, as well as the ones supplies with Ross pistons and with Wiseco pistons.

My old steel rod motor had an Eagle/Ross 2.3 setup, and my aluminum rod 2.3L is a Groden/CP combo, and my other 2.3L is a Pauter/CP combo. I have built motors with Groden, Eagle, Manley and Pauter rods for the 2.3 setups, and have used all 4 piston brands previously mentioned in those builds. No problems with any of them.

I do prefer to use ACL HX-series engine main/rod bearings.

Mahle is my vote simply because I use them in my 2.3 with great success for past 4 years . The car is DD tuned to 44 psi flowing 82lb/min @ 8.5 K rpm. Mahle is a low expansion piston the fore allowing for closer tolerances (less piston slap) witch is so important in strokers . My ptw clearance is 0.003 ".

I have had zero piston slap issues with a 0.0055" PTW on any of my pistons in 2.3L setups over the last decade plus.

Pistons to stay way from are old Wiseco ones with the taller skirts which were notorious for cracking.

Past like 700WHP, I would recommend going with the stronger wrist pins. I ran mine to almost 800AWHP for 3 years of hard usage and the last 8 years of lower power street daily driver usage and they are fine; still, in retrospect had I known I was going to get greedy with that build I would have invested in tool steel thick-wall wrist pins instead.
