Piston question

I'm currently looking to purchase a g4cs hybrid shortblock. The motor spun a main bearing with no damage to the crank or journals. Upon dissasembly my friend and I noticed all the pistons have some scratches below the ringlands I'm just wondering if they are complete scrap or might be reusable. Pistons are Ross part # 75029 f2 with eagle rods. I attached some pics let me know your thoughts guys thanks

Personally I would recommend you replace them and triple check your piston to wall clearance and your main and rod bearings. Doing it right the first time will payoff in the end.

I concur with doing it right the first time. How's the cylinder walls look? Piston looks pretty beat up.

I purchased some used ones that looked like yours and got them checked. The mechanist asked me if I was joking and laughed at me. I would really get some new ones. Extremepsi has wisecos on sale for 44x.xx right now with rings pins and everything. Do it right the first time my friend that way you know what you have and a little piece of mind is always a plus in books.

JUNK and there are custom. ross part numbers start with 9 for 4G63 stuff and 7 for custom as told by Ross

i would run arias pistons but if you want to safe some money just buy wiseco.

Thanks for all the help guys I figured they were junk. The owner says he would get some piston slap during warm-up which most likely caused this. I guess the custom ross pistons will make nice papersweights.

Thanks for the specs man I was actually looking at the Magnus pistons last night and that's probably what ill go with. Their pricey but I'm sure there a quality part if there like anything else that they sell. I have a Magnus intake manifold and I love it. I just wanna make sure I'm not jumping in too over my head I've always ran stock motors and had good luck but always ran small turbos. I wanna go to a big turbo now and make some real power.
