Clear. It's cut from a 1/4" sheet of Plexiglas. I cut it myself from a piece of scrap I had laying around, so I didn't really pay anything for mine either.

It is the RRE strut tower bar as someone said earlier.

ahh i didn't know that i thought it was custom, i got it on a trade for doin some work on another dsm, i just went to there site and found it so now i know were it came from

I can buy it from my local DSM specialty shop
he's just a couple blocks away from my job
and mine is the stock one with the lettering detailed with black and then clearcoated also has a bolt imprint from a hot bolt melting on it

Nope. It's a CNC cut piece that everyone else uses. And a sticker I had made over it.

This one is my favorite that I have seen. We got one in a while back and liked the way it looked. If I had a dsm it would be mine! (powdercoated black, with the letters hand painted whatever color..not a big polished fan) Just simple, and classy!

Lol. I also am not big on polished things in my engine bay, which is why I didn't get mine polished. I think it goes well with my valve-cover as well. Could pass as stock, which I love.

The biggest step to have it come out good is prep work, spray some purple power degreaser on the valve cover and sand it with semi-rough sanding paper, spray some more and sand again throughout the whole vc, for the tiny spaces use a knife to get the grime out, then wash it all off with water, dry it, and paint away.
