Pick The Right Intercooler

I agree not to skip on parts either but if they are proven on the dyno and the track then isnt it worth saving like 300 bucks. I would say if you plan on running a 35r setup and looking for a drag car then yes dont get a knock off parts. But 400hp is easily capable of the ssac intercooler with proven results from members on here. If you want to spend that extra money then hey go ahead I am not going to stop you but I used my saved money to buy more performance parts.
http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/art...autochrome-fmic-kit-w-short-route-piping.html The bottom of the page has the dyno results. Just some food for thought.

I think i am just going to get the PR kits. I mean i really dont want a super car just i guess for looks. Plus this will be my first project on my car that i do. So wish me luck. I will put up pics and so vid.

Well man good luck I think that you would still be better off with the cheaper kit, but anyways installing an intercooler is fairly easy. Depending on how weathered your car is I would start pb blasting bolts now. I broke off both bolts that hold the bumper on the fender and about two more off the radiator support beam. My car is very weathered though. Have fun with it and post some pics when you get it and when it is installed.

Why are you getting an FMIC as your first mod? I'd suggest sitting down and thinking about the "final picture", how much everything costs (ballpark), and then consider the logical order of how to get from today to that goal.

Don't get me wrong...an FMIC on a T25 *will* help, but it's a bit out-of-order.

noooo LOL it not my first mod, it the first mod i am doing my self.:D I have a boost gauge, turbosx bov, hard intake piping, and a boost control. I just a little worried that it going to end bad but i really want to get dirty you know:thumb:

Well, there's always a turbo upgrade, new or ported exhaust manifold, and exhaust. You could do any of those, and they tend to make more sense before an FMIC. Whatever you decide, getting grease under your fingernails is half the fun.

Oh, and update your profile.:thumb:

O i was told you didnt have to cut anything. So i have been reading other forums and it seem to be dumb if i put a intercooler on my t25

A 1g smic is even larger then the 2g so youy could even consider that however it will fall short of your power goal and most definatley suffer from heat soak. A supra sidemount would be a canidate for this and if you had a meth injection kit you could help lower intake temps and would help out a smaller less efficient intercooler. You could also find a used evo 8-9 intercooler

Air filter+cold air dam, 2.5" or 3" exhaust (check local emissions laws), then fuel pump and AFPR, then logger and boost controller. Then increase boost as high as is safe. Then turbo+manifold (or port yours)+O2 housing (or port yours). Then tuning device, then injectors, then a good tune at max safe boost. Then FMIC or water/meth injection. Then another good tune at max safe boost.

Or just go read the stage 1 and stage 2 upgrade path and follow that order.
