Phantom fuel injector spacer

I dropped the furthest to the driver side one while trying to put my fuel rail back in and i have now looked everywhere around where it fell for probably 2 hours. Im about ready to just wait for a new one to arrive but im not sure what to do since it would be multiple days

So what is your question? You need to have that spacer in.
I did the same thing when I installed my FIC1050 injectors but luckily I found mine under the car. Did you search around the A/C compressor? It might be hard to see even in the daylight, grab a light and look around the compressor/front subframe area (if you haven't already) plenty of places for it to get wedged and be hard to see.

If you ever drop the subframe of the car you'll find at least one socket, likely a wrench and possibly your first born child.

Check behind the intake manifold bracket. Those spacers are a PITA.

Im just amazed that not only would they make such a horrible design but that there would be such an abyss. Ive checked everywhere around there. I ordered a new one but i need to be able to drive my car on monday. All ideas are gretly appreciated

Run to a junkyard? Or ask a buddy that doesn't DD their car to hook you up until yours shows up....

Take some silicone and glue all three spacers against the head when you take the rail off. You don't have to wait for it to dry. This will keep them in place when you put the rail back on and you will never drop them again.


Look between the starter and block. It like to drop there.

I second checking by the a/c compressor..there's a little void area between the compressor bracket and the block.. it's probably in there
