performance ideas for 99 eclipse gs

I used to have GS and the only mod that does anything to that engine is Turbo or Nitrous.

All the cold air intakes and headers are just a waste of money....SAVE up and get a turbo kit. The 420a handles boost well in my opinion.

If you really wanna make the car fast you're gonna have to turbo it. You have about 117whp in right now (assuming it's stock). If you just want a daily driver and don't wanna spend a fortune on modding the car you can go ahead and just put on an intake and exhaust for not too much. If you plan on turboing it don't bother wasting money on either of these and just save up for your turbo build.

actually the 3 BPU will help... not to butt dyno but... assuming you have 115whp 113 tq

I = 2 whp 4 tq
E =2 whp 3 tq
H = 2 whp 3 tq
Adjustable Cam Gears = 5 whp 6 tq
NOS 50 shot = 40 whp 40 tq

for these parts ($1500) you now have 166 WHP and 169 TQ ...give or take...

Hm. Where to look, where to look. If only there were some expansive, detailed, well-explained site somewhere on the internaweb where you could look up such answers. Perhaps some site with a hundred-thousand members, who've posted over two-and-a-quarter million times, in almost a quarter-million threads, I'd bet if there were a place like that you could go there and seek out the answers to this question, because surely it must have been asked before.

Hint, hint.
