Percentage of 1g cars with EPROM?

Anyone have any clue of what the percentage of 1g cars with EPROM ECUs is?
I have a 92 Laser that I don't have access to and I was just wondering.

I don't think anybody except Mitsubishi has the numbers and I bet they would have to go searching through purchasing records figure it out. It looks to be a rather small percentage. The odds are higher on original cars built in the very early weeks of a model year but they have shown up in cars throughout the production run which makes me wonder about how the plant managed inventory.

I don't know the answer to your Question..but I own two 1990(one very early one late) both are EPROM.

And my 1990 had the ECU replaced in 2001, it's an EPROM ECU. So I'd also be willing to bet any ECU replacements made after original stock ran out, (1995ish, prolly) are all EPROMS ECU's, so they could burn the chip for you car.

About how early do they start production? My car was built August of '91 (seems early to me).

I don't know for sure but GM does it in June/July for model year change over.
