LoL....I took some pictures of her sitting in my car. I am going to post them along with my write up. I am going to take a day or two to get everything together for my write up. To give you a little hint, I have been talking to my brother about getting the 420A built and the GS turned into another McBride Racing car with him being the driver! Thank you guys


Ps it freakin snowed tonight, and my dads out of town for the week. And I cant find the dang spare shop key. Looks like I am going to kick a car out of my friends heated garage tomarrow.

When it comes to a race car and a driver it's almost as if the car and person are one. From the time the car is built it is designed to fit the driver. Now if Greg and I were to stand next to each other I am almost as tall as he is. I think I am only 2in shorter. So first things first when it comes to the car. I need to move it forward about 1/2in and up 1-1 1/2in when I sit in this car the way it is I have some major blind spots. And we all know in road racing that's BAD!

Second I have no clue were I am going to go from here body wise, aerodynamically the car is staying the way it was built. Everyone who put there blood sweat and tears in this car knew what they were doing and I am going to keep it that way. The car runs perfect and when she's started up. It's like a caged beast just begging to be let out. I took the car around the block today never taking it past 2nd gear and I could hear the call and my foot wanting to get heavier. Luck for me I have some awesome self control.

Now for a few things, I love the way the car looks right now and I am not going to change color or remove any decals on this car at this point. To me that would be unfair to everyone who put time into this car. Miles City has the bucking horse sale every May which is a big thing. We have about for thousand people from around the country come to do there ranch thing and every year there is a big parade. Now that being said, last year the National Guard Drag car was in this parade so that being said this year so will my car. Along with a McBride Racing booth at the county and state fair, to help raise funds for the 2008 race season.

This is just a sneak peak about what's going to happen in the next few months. I still need to upgrade my racing equipment as everything I have is for street stock racing. (Dirt Circle Track) More details and information when I post my write up

I took the car out to a small course today, and I must tell you. This car scares the crap out of me. I am going to take most of this year getting a feel for the car. This car is going to take getting used to, I have driven 500HP+ Muscle cars that did not scare me like this beast. I also have some new pictures I will put up in my gallery later.

Here are some new pictures of the race car, Just so you know this is the side of the road were the local car club runs there cars. It is a private, paved road. this is just a little shoulder off to the side of the road. This is a great road no pot holes. I was more scared of wrecking the car while I am trying to get a feel for it more then anything. The care really does not scare me. This car is a dream come true, this car is perfect and I cant wait to run a real race event in it.

I fried two cam covers. One in an oil fire before I spring loaded the dipstick and the other from just too much heat. The cover was quite simple. A piece of aluminum for the back and I bent one to follow the curvature of the cams. Riveted the two together, then took a piece of L metal and bolted it to the valve cover where the old one mounted, making a new attachment point for the new one. I still might have the templates I made during the process. I'll check and see...
