parts inspection, how to tell if they are good?

im pulling parts off of the parts car a recently picked up and Im comparing them to what i have on my car. what do i look for when contemplating replacing the following

halfshafts up front-besides just torn cv boots
clutch master and slave cylinder
brake master cylinder
clutch ie how to tell how much life is left on an ACT 2600 or how to tell if its warped etc...

any advice on how to tell if i should use these used parts would be very much appreciated!

As far as the clutch goes, you can tell by the surface. If the surface is physically damaged or scraped, it's probably not going to last too much longer. If you aren't getting any slips out of it though, then it's more then likely fine. You can tell if it's warped as well by examining the surface . Hope that helps

that helps with my question on the clutch, but im still at a loss on the way to examine the condition of the other above items.

ive also been told to call ACT and ask them how to tell if there is enough friction surface left to be worth putting in my car.

any other advice or ideas???

No problem at all! I'd help more but I don't know enough on the other parts you listed to give you accurate advice. But yeah, I'm sure ACT would be able to help with that as well.
