Hi guys,

I’m looking to find these part numbers for the rear strut assembly of a 1g awd. In the diagram below, they’re labeled as numbers 6), 8), and 10).

I am trying to see if these parts are interchangeable between a 1g awd and 2g rears. I was able to find the part numbers for the 2g rear strut assembly with CAPS and an OEM mitsu parts lookup website, but can’t find the part numbers for the 1g awd. When using the OEM parts lookup website, the prices for both the bushings (numbers 6 and 10) are exactly the same between 1g awd and 2g. The prices for the sleeve/spacer (number 8) are different so I assume they are different part numbers. I’m curious whether the bushings are the same part number.

For reference, here are the part numbers I found for the 2g’s assembly corresponding to the same parts on the 1g I am interested in:

6) Bottom Bushing – MB338618
8) Sleeve/Spacer – MB871748
10) Top bushing – MB910802

Thanks!

For 1G AWD:
6) Bottom bushing - MB338618
8) Spacer - MB338620
10) Top bushing - MB242358

According to ASA, #6 and #10 are the same on 2G cars, except 1999 vehicles (whose #6 is MR235628 and #10 is MR235627). #8 for all 2G's is the same as you gave above, MB871748.

Thanks a bunch, Brian. I'll be ordering #8 and #10 from the dealer then. I'm trying to see what needs replacing to run 2g rear shocks on a 1g awd so us 1g guys could have an option for Koni shocks again. The sleeve, #8, I knew would need to be changed because it will not fit over the 2g shock, but the bushings may be similar enough so they can be swapped right over if the sleeve from a 2g fits into the 1g bushing.

Another note to add; When I looked up these parts at Autozone and AdvanceAuto, they gave me the same part with the same part number for both 1g awd and 2g... I'll have side by side comparisons when I get the new 2g bushings though.
