Hi there,

My PalmNStein is acting up, or is it my car? Whenever I do a wide open throttle pull, after it passes around 4k rpms, the timing goes all the way to -65 and tps 0 and RPMs 0. I do not understand why it i doing this now.. It's been working fine till now... I already tried to reinstall palmNstein... doing the same thing.. if I do not pass 4k rpms, it reads fine, WOT or partial throttle....

Thanks,

Mark

Hi there,

Well, I do have OBD GAUGE... but that sux because I cannot view logs on the palm, I'd need to load it on my computer every time... I wish I can afford dsmlink... Instead, I got a plx wideband kit... Has anybody experienced this with PalmN Stein?? oh and I wish MMCD worked on the 2G, I heard it was a great 1G program. Thanks!

The connection clearly is cutting out at that point....Ha, hard to understand why, unless literally it is unplugging when the car starts to pull hard (?)

LoL... I wish it was that simple... Here' an update.. I updated my palm platform, reset everything, reinstalled my palm utilities on my computer, then re loaded palmnstein on there to see if the palm OS got corrupted or something.

I closely monitored the logger, WHEN I PASS 4k rpms at partial throttle NOT IN BOOST it reads fine, and reads the correct rpms, and temperatures and everything.. BUT, the second I go into boost, my logger goes crazy, and displays 0 rpms voltage tps, and -65 timing!

My car seems to be running alright, i'm boosting 14psi and I JUST INSTALLED KEYDIVER's CHIP (stage 3) I suspect that the chip is the problem, but I don't know because My buddy installed the same chip in his 97 eclipse and his car logs fine... so I am stuck here... Any other oppinions on why this cuts off when it hits boost??

Thanks,

Mark

That is what I suspect. Could it have something to do with the vehicle's wiring? or no, because it read just fine, unless it is under boost... I tried to log with another logger, it does the same thing!

I am thinking that the fuel/timing maps are currupt in boost, on the chip... I am not sure though, because when I used to mess with honda's I burned eprom chips for boost, and there was a different map that the ecu goes through for fuel and timing tables when in boost..

thanks! ANY MORE OPPINIONS? ANYBODY EVER EXPERIENCE THIS?? the logger acting up and going craz when in boost???
