hey guys i was looking into getting a logger . This is what i found out from searches. I will need palm m100 or better 2) also cable to hook up. The palm has to be running os 3.0. 3) and i can get free software for it ??? (i am going cheapo way i know) Im not a track whore so its not biggie really. Also this logger will let me adjust air/fuel ? also clear codes ? and detect knock ?? . You can see my mods arent much. Its more of a learning proress for me. Thanks in advance guys.

I'm going to shed some light on the subject for you buddy since we both own the same year and model car. This is EXACTLY what you will need 1. Palm PDA m100 or m105 2. a hot sync cable not a hot sync cradle you need that actual CABLE 3. The T16-003 OBDII interface from multiplex engeneering it will be EXACTLY $85.85 shipping and tax and all no more no less 4. Hal landrys program palmnstein you can get that from a website that is located on this board(go to search type in palmnstein and a thread will come up named the officail palmnstien thread click on it and scroll down thier will be a link to a site you can down load the program for free from thier). Thier is a tutorial with everything you need to know on how to use it. I paid $30.00 for my Palm m100 that included the software and the hotsync CABLE then $85.85 for the interface. You must have the interface thier is not other way around it you have to have it inorder to hook up to your OBDII port under the dash. You have to order the interface using paypal with the email address [email protected] that spelling is way off so dont use that link but that how you order it under note write "I am ordering the T16-003 interface to be used with hal landrys palmnstein program" Paul knows exactly what that is and will send you what you need. I hope that covers that for you I dont think I missed anything.

P.s. since when does an SAFC-SAFCI cost $300 maybe for the SAFCII.

Right on Mitch, I just did the SAME exact thing this week.

Bought the t16-003 box from Paul at multiplex-engineering
Got a Palm m100 on ebay for 9.99 (what a steal!!! )
Downloaded Palmsteind.

Just waiting to get it all in the mail!! WOOHOO!!!

This is the ONLY way for 2g's trust us all, we've been through the BS and gotten screwed one way or another.

So follow this recipe and you will be pocketlogging soon enough! :thumb:

I have a really dumb question and I have done a search but none pertains to this.... Could i use a logger on my N/T? I plan on running a 50 shot soon and was wondering if it would log the same things as you turbo guys? Thanks for any replies

You could, but I don't believe the N/Ts have a knock sensor to tune with.

If that's the case, you could be detonating like Nagasaki, and your logger couldn't tell the difference.

(No offense to anyone intended).

someone said you cant detect knock on 2gs without DSMLink? true or can you use palm to get knock

True, you can't view actual knock.

But you can see timing bumps/decreases that occur when the ECU senses knock with a logger.
