Painting the Water Pipe

What temps does the '90 turbo water pipe see? I'm using a 14b. I want to paint it. I haven't figured out what temps por 15 can withstand, but if por 15 would work that's what I would like to use. Thanks

If your cooling system is functioing properly you shouldnt see any higher temps than 180 or 190 degrees.

Radiant heat wouldnt be an issue for por 15, engine paint or powder coat would be best, but por 15 should be fine.

I've always just used regular spray paint and never had an issue with it

If you are concerned just use an engine enamel.

I used ceramic paint and it's still holding up.

If you want to paint it, use engine enamel. I hit my friends with 400-800 grit sand paper and sprayed it with clear coat. Turned out great.

Thanks guys. It's kind of a winter car that I'm trying to rust-proof as much as possible so that's why I'm thinking por 15. I already sandblasted it and I'm just trying to keep it clean.

I painted mine with reuglar paint without any issues so far.
