Water Pipe Leaking...

I am just about finished my 50 trim install whenI have run into yet again another issue. I dented in the water pipe to fir the turbo and apparently in the process also broke the seal of the thermostat side of my water pipe. Is there any way to replace the water pipe without removing the turbo yet again? It is an oil only cooled turbo, any suggestions would be helpful, I just want to get my car done.

your pipe will leak if you dont fix that seal its a seal there, it, other way you cant the pipe out to put a new one in, you can try it but it shouldnt be that hard i did mine and the turbo stayed on the car just moved the lines some.

I think I understand what you are trying to say....

Is a water pipe necessary in an oil only cooled turbo car? Can I just plug the lines and remove the pipe? Would that affect anything, I only use the car for joyriding.

Lol. I did the same thing last week with my 20g. Thought I could get away with being lazy. But no.

What I did was just take 3 of the bolts out of the turbo, leaving in the rear drivers side bolt. Also remove the downpipe bolts. Then unbolt the t-stat housing, disconnect the lines, rotate the turbo out of the way and slide the pipe out. Took me like 30 minutes.

Make sure you dent the pipe out of the car this time. And no, you cant remove it. That pipe carries all the coolant from the water pump to the rest of the engine.

Yes unfortunately I will probably have to take the turbo off again. Are there any guides that anyone can post a link to for replacing a water pipe seal? I only have my phone to search right now and it's difficult to do so.
