Hey guys wahts up, ive been a member here awhile just hada question. Does anyone know where i can find info on how much paint and clear, all the paint information like that. I need to know how much material so i can paint it right. I work at an autobody shop but icant find the information anywhere with how much material the 2g is going to take. My guess is 2 quarts w/o an HVLP spray gun. I'll post pics then when im done w/ the finished product im sure it will get painting the same color again on all my kit parts when i get enough money. right now i have a street fighter front on my eclipse. and im doing a super black metallic. Well if any of you other paint tech guys out there help a dsmer out. Later Oh and if anyone in the PA area wants there dsm painted for 400 bucks plus material let me know i'll hook you guys up with a nice paint job. Later on.

I'll take one. Fly out to Alb please. LOL

All the times I've seen anything get painted, the parts are usually taken off the car, and then the paint/body shop just estimates how much it'll take. That, in turn, is your price. Now since you work at one, I'd say you're knowledgeable enough just to have an educated guess at it. Just buy more than you think you need, since it'd be a major pain in the ass to be almost finish and run out

But do it and post up some pics. I want to see what this color looks like! Good luck!

yeah i ripped everything off right now, mirrors, bumpers, lights. its easier to paint it off the car bc then you dont miss any spots. hey man i dont think i would fly somewhere to do a paint job, LOL but if ## ever in the allentown area of pa w/ ## dsm let me know i can have it painted in 3-4 days. im taking my time bc i got into an accident like last yr and i replaced al the parts besides the quarter panel and i should of just changed it bc now im having a hassal in trying to fix the dent in the quarter, its not a huge ass dent its just a little dent here and then near the wheel well so thats the hardest thing. but yeah i run a little shop at my 2 part garage i do detailing and repair and paint. for friends or fellow dsmers. bc nothing beats good looking dsms. Alright man thx for the help i got a gallon of everything but im tryin to save bc im painting my brothers 5.0 95 stang. he wants the black i got. but thx for the advice and im painting the 2g tomorrow morning and will post pix on sunday or monday. later on. thx dsmtuners for having the forum. PEACE!

Glad you went with a gallon. Running out of color or clear would definately not be fun. I used 2 quarts just cutting in my jams and under the hood. I don't know why I missed this post.

Replacing a 2g quarter is no less fun than those dents. Don't wish that upon yourself. Here are my recent pics. Just going with the red again.
