So since my job has been a little slow lately, i decided to start painting some engine components before i put everything back together. So far i have painted the Valve cover(not finished yet), timing gears, fuel rail, and in the process of painting the accessory pullies. Here are some pics!

More pics coming soon, the intake manifold stillneeds to be painted along with a couple other misc parts. Any input is appreciated!

Looking good man! Love the paint. As for the valve cover I would take a dremel and polish the letters. That would give it a contrast and make it pop. I was thinking of doing to same to mine.

the cam gears were actually really easy to paint like that. spray base boat of which ever color you like. then just run tape along the inside of it and spray the center section. Let it dry and pull the tape off!

Decided to paint the raised parts black. I like the way it looks alot! Its going to look great with my whole red/black setup i have going.

I will be posting pics with the oem spark plug cover and oil cap once i get them

I like it just the way you have it. It's a pretty clean look. The polished letters don't pop out at you too much like chrome but is still pleasing to the eye.

Also, on a side note, i am going to get new pictures with the mitsu spark plug cover installed along with my oil cap. I am trying to decide if i want to paint my letters on the spark plug cover red or keep it all black

Just did this today! sorry for poor picture quality

Looks bad ass man, can't wait to see it mounted on the car!

wow, that looks excellent. that makes me want to do that to my intercooler. If you've painted anything else, post it up! nice work

i posted up some pictures of my car that i sprayed at work today with plastidip, its in a different thread, i would like to post everything ive painted into one forum but then this thread would be pointless..

nice, you should polish the raised lines that run across the vc and see if that looks good with the polished letters
