I beleive Henry Ford once said...'paint it any color you want as long as its black'

Well actually I powder coated everything semi gloss black. I got tired of the rice look and miss-matched colors. I do need to pick up some black silicone 2.5" couplers...the blue isint cutting it. Never gave a $hit about my engine bay until recently, now I am trying to clean it up a bit. The semi-gloss kind of gives it OEM look.

Just installed an EVO head and exhaust manifold gasket, ARP Head bolts. Had the head planed and a 3 angle valve grind. Installing a catch can and moving my fuel pressure gauge inside so I can see whats happening at WOT. Re-built my TB with new O-rings will pressure test to 25 psi. Welded a 2.5" mandrel bend onto the end of an Injen intake. All new injector seals and o-rings.

We will see how she runs this time.

90 AWD 5sp, 20G, Tial 35mm, 9.5x28x2.8 FMIC with 2 1/2" piping, 550's, 2G mas, 2G exhaust manifold and O2, full 2.5" exhaust with TP, 3000 VR4 pump, SAFC, 2.5" intake pipe, 2G pistons, new style lifters.

I removed the motor mount to let the motor 'float' with the wheel hop.

He must have got those clear mani-turbo bolts with that motor mount.. Either way, looks good.

Hey quit flaming the guy because he took some pics before he finished the install, probably got excited about how awesome it looked. I think it looks beautiful Turbo442 :thumb: , very clean. How much did it cost to have all of the powdercoating done?

Yeah it does look nice! What are the letterings on the cover, white or polished? I may "copy" you but I'm across the country in central New York so we won't be next to each other at Wal-mart, mine's Red also! mark

I picked up a powder coating kit from harbour freight for like $60.

Just buy a cheap oven from a used appliance place for like $50, dont use one you cook with. You can get all kinds of powders now, even chrome and flourescencs, check on E-bay for good deals. Eastwood also sells stuff, but the harbour freight kit works just as well.

I just used a rubber sanding block with some 80 grit and then 320 grit and took it down to the aluminum.

You guys better not be flaming me...

I don't think anyone is flaming. Just messing with you. All kidding aside, that's some nice work. How much would you charge if I sent you some of my $hit?

You could get all that powdercoated at a local shop for like $100. Much easier to do and work it to me.

BTW, Looks good that's what I plan to do when I get back home.

I went the same route. When I ran through the smog check with all stock accessories last year TWO guys about broke their necks checking it out. Maybe they had never seen one before but I took the hint. So as I built the car the motto was 'black is beutifull' Now I see that two DSMers got their cars stolen here in the same week. Believe me the sleeper look rules.

Untill you find black silicon couplers, use wide electritions tape.
