I have a 97 GST throwing up the p1400code. Mods are all off the car and no vac leaks. I just need a picture of the correct part I am picking up or maybe a part number. I can't seems to decide which one it is, (so many aftermarket and none look the same.) Thanks in advanced.

Weird to rivive, but I just got this code AGAIN!

What does the manifold differential pressure sensor even do? what do guys that install aftermarket intake manifolds do about it? Can you really just do without it? Will your gas mileage be the same and everything? Will your car run rich or lean or anything weird?

I got the p1400 code the other day and when it comes on it sputters and runs like crap. Decided to try unplugging it today and the check engine light went off at the first startup. Seems like it's idling just a little weird still

*Edit*
Found this info about the mdps, but my other questions still remain: "Your MDP (Manifold Differential Pressure) Sensor is done. It's not going to effect your drive ability. It's really only there to make sure your EGR valve is working properly (it helps display the readiness code for it) it's just to tell the ECU that the EGR valve is working properly, you'll get a CEL for the sensor being out and your readiness code for the EGR won't show ready."

Got this code on my GST. Would this affect cold starts? Once the car reaches 130F coolant temp it starts up first time. Until then it bogs down horrible idle, then dies. (Unless I give it gas.)
