Had code p1400 come up, took a sensor off a friends project car that seems to have fixed it. Unfortunately he won't sell me his so now I'm looking for one. ExtremePSI is my go to for as much as possible, their website lists the Omni-Power MAP sensors but what's the difference? Should I bother or just try to find a stock replacement?

Edit: Spoke to ExtremePSI and they said it was typically used for running speed density and re-tuning and likely not a good stock replacement.. With that being said, does anyone have any suggestions on where I can find one or does someone have one for sale?

The Omni 4 bar MAP sensor is for speed density setups only. It measures pressure in the manifold. It is just used in place of the factory MDP sensor because it is not needed. So what you want is an MDP sensor. Not MAP.

I know that, the question was more so whether it would be a suitable replacement for a stock one which it does not appear so. Looking for P/N MD305600 comes up with some ebay results between $8-$12 if I can't find any other options. I'll just have to roll the dice.

It is not going to function in place of the stock sensor. So therefore not a suitable replacement unless you are running speed density. Plus its way more expensive so its not worth it. Or maybe I am still misunderstanding what you are asking.

Nah that's pretty much it LOL before I knew it was the sensor everyone made it seem like they were all about $100. I always look at things as an opportunity to upgrade or improve so wanted more info on those to know if it would be plausible.
