Any idea on this code and what to look for? The light came on but no difference in performance or anything. When the light came on, I felt an initial retardation in timing but as fast as it happened, everything went back to normal. The wires and plugs are new. They are the NGK plugs and I forget which wires, but none the less, I did not feel anything at all. When I pulled the code on my OBDII reader, I cleared it and after about 10 miles of city driving, it hasnt come back. This isnt the first time it did this, the other time the code cleared itself before I could pull it.

It was about 105*F and cruising at 70mph and no boost when the CEL came on... so what do I do from here. So far, there is no break down.

Artago, what have you tried so far with no resolution and what is next on your list?

Also, whats with post 23 & 24? After reading them a few times I think I'm missing something..

There was a picture in Post 23 and 24 which is no longer there. I saved it to my comp... I think.

So far I've tried replacing the MDP and Transistor pack. The error code has not come back in 2-3 days. So far so good (knock on wood). If it comes back then I will let you know.

But the car does seem to run better (smoother).

Anyways, only time will tell.... check back with me in a few days/weeks.

Hopefully it fixes it. My car started to randomly misfire alot near the end of summer, giving me the P0300 code. I too also found in a search here, that The transistor packs apparently go bad and can cause the car to run bad like mine was on 2 cylinders. My car is off the road now but I will be changing the transistor pack before I put it back on the road and hopefully it will fix it. let me know how yours turns out!

So far so good.... 4 days and counting without P0300 or P1400. :thumb:

Knock on wood.

Well it looks like a spoke too soon. I just threw the P0300 code today. It was fine for like 4 days and then I started my car up after work and it sounded like it was firing on 3 cylinders and immediately threw the P0300. I'll monitor it for a while and post back. If it keeps coming back then I'll try a MAF swap.

Tom

Artago, what did you figure out?

Nothing really... It's throwing the code less frequently now. The only thing I did was fix a vac leak in the TB and fix my high idle and idle surge. I have more vac/boost leaks. Maybe that's what is causing it.

I'm going to fix all the vac leaks and boost leaks.. see if that helps.

I'll post back once I have everything done.

I'm getting the CEL but my car runs like shit when it comes out. Loses all power. Like I read in another thread it basically feels like its running on 2 cylinders. I reset the ECU and it stops doing it for a while but then starts again. I have no idea what to do but was told it may be becuase of my 6 bolt swap, something with the CAS?

In your situation, this has everything to do with your 6 bolt swap. You need to experiment with a "Black Top" CAS, and if one or 2 of those doesn't solve your problem. Turn to DSMLink.
