So, my 99GST is currently being punished. It's been parked in the garage for a few days now while I wait for my new transmission to show up. Anyway, I went out to start it up this evening to move it and when I started it up, the car ran really rough, like it was running on three cylinders. Sure enough, CEL pops on. Shut the car off, run inside, grab the logger and get "P0302, Cylinder 2 Misfire Detected." Great, my dsm broke itself some more while parked! So I tried starting it again because I was curious (or just that dumb), and to my surprise it seemed to be fine.

My question is, why might something like that happen after letting the car sit for a few days? What steps should I take to start trying to diagnose the problem? I have an idea of things to start with, but I'd like to hear everyone's ideas/opinions of things to check so I can run through them. It's not like I'm in a hurry right now... I'm not going to act as though this never happened either (even though it seems fine right now). There must be a reason for this.

A bit of info about the car since my profile is bare...
99GST, 90k miles
walbro 190lph fuel pump, FIC 650's, Keydiver Stage 3 chip on 95ECU (duh) :p
NGK BPR7ES plugs @ .028, NGK wires
Anything else not mentioned in the fuel or igntition system is because it's still stock.
Oh, and CA car running on 91

So, open to any thoughts! thx. :)

My Guess is bad Spark Plug wires

As opposed to bad plugs, bad wires dont constantly missfire, they do it certain times, while bad plugs constantly make missfires.

Your best Bet would be to replace your plug wires
