ok, i recently bought this car used, and a salvage title...so god knows what happened to it. It was fine for a bit, untill i heard some major backfiring in the car. So i ran a scan on it and it came with two, Cylinder 2 misfires. I changed the sparkplugs, and still, backfires, and a new problem came up, stuttering during acceleration, and sometimes, it wont even fire, and ill be stuck with the stuttering noise while accelterating. So i took off the wires to the coil pack, and i turned on the car, only to notice that 1, 3, 4 were doing nothing, but i noticed that coil 2 was sparking way out of control, while the others didnt even spark...that was crazy, and this is the first time ive ever noticed that. If you guy know anything that can help to difuse this problem, and save some money, please respond! Thanks

Mabey you should try to change the coil pack. I got one from a friend for 7 bucks, and I think you can pull one from a junkyard for around $15.

Yup, sounds like coil pack issues. As Alex mentioned, used coil packs are cheap enough to come by. You might also want to try changing the wires if they haven't been changed since you bought the car.

Let us know what you find.
