420A P0104 code help

I was driving and the light came on then went away the next day then back again later what does this p0104 01/01 02/02 code mean on my 98 Eclipse RS any ideas? I have a cold air intake

The 420a doesn't use a MAF.

OP- Even though the code typically means MAF malfunction, that's just a generic definition used for most OBDII vehicles. I would start by checking the IAT sensor and anything else intake related.

CLean the IAT sensor and make sure to check the connector to make sure the wire connections are good. After that re-set the battery make sure to apply the brake to get all the power out of the system. Once that has been done re fire it up and see what she does. If the problem persists i would change the IAT there is no MAF. Also, check the MAP sesnor on the intake.

Where is the iat sensor

It should of been in your factory air filter pipe. When you install a aftermarket cold air intake you have to swap that sensor off the old stock pipe and into the new pipe. Intake air temp sensor should be installed in the air filter pipe with a nice tight fitting rubber groment right befor your throttle body.

Maybe your is missing that sensor? Do you have a wiring plug in around the pipe that's just hangin out not plugged in doin anything? If so find the sensor and put it in the pipe.

Also, on the intake mannifold you should find another sensor. A mannifold absolute pressure sensor. Make sure that wire plug-in also has a nice connection.

I never knew about it and when I bought the car he did not have an intake set up at all so I bought a cold air before we even drive it because it had been sitting
